Energenics was founded in 1974 in Aurora, Illinois. It pioneered the “dry” style lint filter for large industrial dryers. In the early 1980’s Energenics moved to Naples, Florida where it remains today. During the 80’s Energenics introduced energy saving filters that returned the hot filtered air back to the dryers that resulted in savings of fuel. Today, Energenics manufactures over 50 different Lint Filters for commercial and industrial markets. Energenics enjoys and supports an installed base of over 9,500 filters worldwide. To assist with air flow issues in dryer ducting, Air Flow Optimizer packaged booster fan systems were developed in the early 2000’s.
Automatic Laundry Cart Washer/Disinfector “Kartwasher” was introduced in 1995. Over 300 manual load and fully automatic processing models with an array of options are currently employed on 6 continents. By 2010 UV-C lamps were introduced as a secondary method of assuring that carts were thoroughly disinfected. In 2018, Energenics introduced an on-site, on-demand Hypochlorous Acid generating equipment to replace pathogen-resistant quaternary ammonium chemicals traditionally purchased from chemical suppliers. Today, all Kartwashers purchased in the healthcare industrial laundry industry through Energenics use this chemical technology as well as our full fog application. The AALF, “Lint Scrubber”, ambient air cleaning filters were introduced to clear the air of lint and dust generated by the mechanical handling of textiles, ironing, folding, and transport. UV-C lamps were introduced in 2008 as a method to disinfect the bacteria-laden lint collected in healthcare laundry applications prior to being disposed of by personnel. In 2017, Energenics introduced the UV-Max as a product to disinfect healthcare laundry delivery vehicles and surfaces more consistently throughout the healthcare laundry facility. Today, over 30 facilities nationwide employ these UV-C carts in healthcare laundries. Other industries with our UV-Max include janitorial service companies, restaurant groups, assisted living facilities, airports and hospitals. Energenics Corporation has thrived through continuous ownership and investment since 1992 with one vision of innovation for markets served.
